its ok. you need it to be able to understand finance. keeping books and doing payroll and other shit that run of the mill accountants do would make me want to blow my brains out. they know how financial statements work, but i've never really seen an accountant be able to do anything special/analysis with that knowledge.

Accounting is mostly tax planning and prep or auditing controls and financial statements. Related but very different fields, like an engineer and a mechanic.
