Is Bitcoin the only crypto worth investing in?

In the long term, this has been historically true. Indexes of the highest volume altcoins almost always underperform BTC.

In the short term, cryptos are so volatile that there are always fast fortunes to be made on the lower volume alts.

As for the future, BTC is solid as all hell, I'd say nothing else right now really strikes my fancy, Zcash is an important concept but it's a testnet and not a fully fleshed out currency yet. I'd keep an eye on where the technology of Zcash goes

bitcoin is undervalued at least 400$

the only two times bitcoin has suffered massive devaluations have been because of exchanges getting hacked (mtgox and bitfinex)

other than that its been absolute bull run

it will absolutely 100% get back to 1200$ within the next 5 years, after that who knows but probably much more because once it proves it can get reasonable ahead of 1200 and stay stable then small hedge funds will jump on board then its exponential growth from there

I would have said this in the past, right now I don't see anything worth gambling with. Whats the next "big thing"? every gimmick has been tried already.

Invest in Bitcoin, hodl, and get nice returns in 5 or 10 years.

Or, invest in new and interesting crypto, and be prepared to sell when the pump-and-dump happens.
