I kinda see what you are doing but people have been predicting a "storm" for a while.

Eventually, one person will get lucky by saying "next tuesday will be THE DAY" and it will happen.

I personally believe it is a more gradual, long term unwinding that started about a 10 - 15 years ago. Basically the west borrowed more than it should of to please the electorate and is now unable to repay its debts. Pensions are now a Ponzi scheme.

The first domino will fall but we will not notice until the momentum has gained.

I think you fixate too much on a few factors but your analysis of them is sound.

OPEC cutting production after Trump's election is suspect. It is as though they know Trump will cooperate with Russia to end the Syrian crisis and OPEC will reenstate the cartel.
