You're much more likely to get a better job in even the financial sector with an engineering degree than you are a business degree. Employers are looking for intelligence and ability to work hard.
Do yourself a favor, seriously.

My aunt has been the assistant to a successful mayor, has been the campaign and finance director for a congressmen (recently) and now works as a lobbyist and consultant.
She knows a woman who met polsci graduate working at a Starbucks she frequented. She eventually got this guy a decent internship which lead to a good job.
I'd say polsci is absolutely worthless if you don't know anyone or you're unwilling to do the uncomfortable thing and reach out.
There are plenty of city districts looking for a free intern to manage their Facebook. My aunt started out working on a campaign and the lower level and dialing phones.
If I didn't legitimately think that I'm going to become a very successful entrepreneur I'd go for it, because I see a ton of opportunity. That sector is backwards in every which way from what I've seen when I've interned.

You say get an engineering degree like it's a fucking trivial pursuit.

It's a good degree if you specialize in the right thing
Accounting is good because you are arguably learning hard skills. The downside? You end up becoming an accountant.
