This is the way I see it. The best way is to start small and move higher (captain obvious here). Start with a small amount ($500 at most), then diversify into stocks using TA/FA; create a strategy. Once your strategy starts working almost every time (even if the gains are less than a 1%), put more and more into it. Start with maybe 50 dollars per trade, then move to 100, 200, 300 etc. The goal isnt to make high profits immediately, the goal is to make a consistent strategy and use it over a long time period. Your patience will be rewarded. If you go balls deep right off the bat you will lose. I feel like there's no point in throwing all your money into a meme stock praying for a moonlaunch if you intend to be a trader. You will just as easily lose all that profit as you made it and more.

Gold is in a weird spot right now. Personally, I dont have faith in Donald Trumps administration to keep the economy doing as well as it has been, so long term, I am bullish on gold. However, there are articles online saying that gold is going to go down short term, because of Holiday shopping and the dollar hitting records, and the economy still doing relatively well. If you plan on holding for awhile, I would recommend letting it go down some. Probably the $6-6.20 range? After holiday shopping slows down, (Close to Christmas time?) and Donald Trump gets closer to actually being in office, I would definitely get on the gold train, even if it hasnt dipped. Persoanlly, if we look at the year long chart for JNUG, December is when shopping picks up and spending advances as much as it will throuhout the year. At the beginning of this year, JNUG was the lowest it had been in awhile, because it was coming OFF of the december spending spree, holiday food, trees, turkeys, travelling, etc. so the economy was ramped up as much as possible, and people were throwing their money into retail stocks, shipping stocks whatever, that why gold was so low starting the year off. But what happens after december? No real big ticket holidays for several months to come. I am now bearish on gold until after new years, as it seems like it will trend downward for the next month or so.
