Inverse relationship between strength of dollar and silver prices normally. The USD index and silver prices almost matched each other step for step in June and July. That's not supposed to happen. The current USD spike, and silver trough conversely, is an anomaly that won't last long. I say anomaly because there is no basis for a strong dollar right now. Q1 2017 is going to be very volatile for both. Metals are traditionally a "safe investment" leading into a possible recession. I'm not saying I agree silver is a good idea, I'm saying the people who bought silver over the summer know we're in for a big one.

well, there was a bond sell off, plus, with our central bank talking about hiking up rates, which they've done once since the .25% low, among with the global interest rates from central banks going lower, it's actually very easy to see that the /dx will go up to 150. i knew this back in 2012, btw.
