When people make these memes are they alluding to not having enough money or is it something else in life they don't have?

Probably money primarily. Or drive.
Never before has it been so easy to see how others are living (or at least how they want you to believe they are). That has to be seriously depressing, I would guess.
Money is one of the most universal and leading causes of stress in people's lives, however many believe that if they only had more money they would also have happiness and would be relived of their anxiety, however this really isn't true. As far as these memes go they are usually made by young people and the whole "depression & anxiety" thing is a very popular trend/meme on social media. These pictures gain a lot of traction because they are funny and in these fast and confusing modern times everyone can relate to some degree of stress, anxiety, depression, and hollowness, these memes bring lighthearted humour to a common relatable feeling. As far as to why these feeling are so common today, well it could be attributed to a lot of things like stress from workload, relationships (tfw no gf), and fear/confusion of the future. I personally think a lot of people are becoming more empty and hollow now due to the big rise of escapism, modern relationships with family, friends, and lovers seem to also be more shakey and less genuine than ever before and people don't know why. Nowadays people don't have to confront their emotions like they used to, they turn to escapism in the form of media, video games, porn, Internet, television, drugs, and other hedonistic activities. Today's escapism makes for a more artificial and hollow experience which can lead many to despair. The huge flow of information and cognitive dissonance leads many to fear and anxiety.

Hedonism and escapism are nothing new, champ. People have been miserable for all of history; people are just more willing to talk and joke about it than they have been before.

Talk to your doctor about your >ADHD problems
There's a lot of articles and forum posts you can find on Google that explain good ways to convince your doctor better than I can.
For anonymous here he took the lazy way out and buys them from a friend who has had ADHD his whole life and has the prescription but doesn't want to take the pills.
Here's an article I like

I don't think memes like that are necessarily related to money. That being said, "money" is what we use to measure/exchange things of value. The most critical one is time. Time is money. Money is also time. If you're rich as shit and have your needs paid for for life, you own your time and thusly your freedom.
I've never heard of anyone having a frantic depressive breakdown because they were on a jetski with friends and family. I have seen people have a breakdown because they watched their careers and savings go up in smoke and they know their time spent was destroyed.
Money can't buy you everything, but enough of it can damn sure buy you the chance to try anything.

or maybe humanity has realized that it is obsolete.
The AGI isn't even sentient yet and all meaningful work and decent paying jobs have been butchered like tendered virgins and thrown over seas to megalithic machinery production lines where the megalithic corporations pay nothing to produce their shit products that break down detrimentally.
The machine has replaced man already.

While i partially agree with you, your first point is wrong. As someone who went from poverty during childhood, to being rich(very specific high paying job with no second entry) and now with no job and practically zero savings i can tell - money elevates 99% of anxiety. It's just a matter of how much. With money on hand, you don't even have time to think about bad sides of life - you have unlimited opportunities to occupy your free time with something, without worrying about anything. Nowadays i just count the days before my funds expire and i'll kill myself in some way, having money only to eat and browse internet.
