I've always wanted to work remote, so I can live in different places around the world. I would love to live in Japan a few months of the year (no weaboo, but I love the nature and food). I know all this is not possible by being a wageslave. Now in my entrepreneurship course I was told that if I make my own start-up I won't earn more than wageslaves and even have to put in more working hours and more effort. I'm also not sure if the chances are that good of being that one startup that makes me rich. So is freelancing maybe the better option? Or is this all too difficult to achive and I should rather focus on getting a very good and paid 35-40h job and enjoy the holidays?

read the 4 hour work week.
If say work for a few years, save up the maximum money you can, then go traveling.
To me, working while traveling seems like the worst of both worlds. Put in a full day on your tiny laptop then go back to your hostel. Maybe take a walk around the city but don't stay out too late, after all your work tomorrow!
If your gonna travel, then travel. If your gonna work, then work is my feeling

There's another option that hasn't been mentioned. Getting a full-time job on a new place for a couple of years. Stay there, save a little, enjoy life in that country. Move on to the next one. Repeat.
