>>
I'd say 5M and upward total net worth
>>
>10,000 US dollars in yearly income
>>
>>1611471
>Rich as fuck and above tier
10M+ net worth + $500,000 yearly income

>Rich teir
5M net worth + $250,000 yearly income

>Upper middle class
2M net worth + $100,000 yearly income

>Middle class
1M net worth + $50,000 yearly income

>Lower middle class
100k net worth + $35,000 yearly income

>Poor as fuck tier
0 or lower net worth + <$35,000 yearly income
>>
>>1611471
60k income
No debt/liabilities
>>
>>1611471
Anyone who has more money than me.
>>
>>1611471
The ability to walk into Armani or Prada on a whim and buy an outfit and not feel the pinch afterwards.

Also, if the old adage is correct then there's a simple tell if you're rich:
>Do you need to ask the price most places you go? No? You're rich then.
>>
WHEN YOUR ANNUAL CAPITAL GAINS EXCEED YOUR INCOME

THAT IS NOT MY OPINION IT IS A FACT
>>
Stable cashflow, money in > money out.
>>
>>1611582
So I'm rich if I'm unemployed and get a dollar in capital gains?
>>
>>1611494
>Middle class
>1M net worth + $50,000 yearly income

lmao majority of americans live paycheck to paycheck, all these net worths below rich tier are just ludicrous

>>1611618

liek $90k
>>
>>1611629
Then what's the cut off? Seriously...
>>
>>1611633
I think what anon was saying is the assumption that you are already in a rich tier salary, and your capital gains are still outpacing your regular income
>>
A 6-figure income or more.
>>
$50,000/year post tax.
>>
>>1611646
>>1611647
It can't be salary based, imho. Otherwise if you quit your job, you immediately become not rich? Doesn't make sense.
>>
>>1611494
>tfw upper middle class
Feels good man
>>
>>1611650
You see this is why it's such a nebulous thing to define.
Can you be rich one year and not the next, or is being "rich" a watershed where after it's pretty much never not be rich for the rest of your life? Or to put it another way: is the definition of being rich that once you are, you stay that way? Or is rich a state that you can enter and leave?

I mean it all doesn't matter, a lot of motherfuckers who we'd think are rich probably still don't think they have enough. And a lot of people who don't have an astounding net-worth probably, because of their lifestyle choices and temperament feel like they are rich already.
>>
>>1611494
>>1611656
>labeling rich as upper middle class
>labeling upper middle class as middle class

delusional fucks, go read about median income, average income of household and average net worth
>>
>>1611711
I don't think it matters what they call it so long as they understand by their metric there's a greater than 99% chance they will never be "upper middle class."

hell, they've only got a 3% chance of making "middle class" in their lifetime. Probably less since someone that misunderstands wealth this badly isn't likely to get any.
>>
>>1611495
Also 65k income

But I'm 300k in debt

Whatever is enough to maintain:
>a cozy home + related expenses
>a reliable vehicle
>ability to cover any medical expenses that you and your family require without changing your lifestile
>yes, no debt
>satisfying social relations - good handful of friends and family
>freedom to work only jobs you like
even better - having such a system in your >business that you can take almost every day of the week off

Having choice how to spend your days is the most important wealth of all for me. Money is only the tool to achieve it.
>>
>>1611633
income is governed by cost of living
even a move between cities in the same state changes what constitutes a large amount of money

in america there are distinct attitude/cultural differences between working/lower middle/middle/upper middle classes

the only meaningful difference between upper middle class and the rich is that the rich no longer rely on annual income

if you are upper middle class this should be your goal, this is where the idea of financial independence comes from, its just a euphemism for rich
>>

die
>>
>>1612233
?
>>
>>1611471
whatever makes you happy
>>
>>1611471
can have a quality life for around 200k annually, you won't get much more out of it if you make more unless you have a lot of free time. family of 4 can live comfy on 120-150k in many parts.

rich maybe 500k annually, but it doesn't mean much without the relationships you should have with people.
>>
>>1611494
enough money were a job is a simply a hobby
>>
>>1611582
>tfw when im rich

Good definition anon
>>
>>1612233
why did this person say die
>>
>>1612261
because literally the post above yours numbnuts

rich is not subjective
it has fuck all to do with what you enjoy or dont or if youre happy or not and it definitely has nothing to do with a meaningless number
>>
>>1612242
It all depends. Quality of life increases with more money, but you may have less because of that

Excellent physical and mental health. Don't necessarily have to be a fitness freak, just not being sick every other day with a sharp mind.

Generous and empathetic and polite.

Faithful and spiritual.
