Holy shit, I don't know what the fuck I'm doing.
I bought a share of NVDA at ~45, just for shits and giggles, maybe collect dividends a couple years before selling for a modest return.
Then THIS happens!
Wat do? I really didn't want to fuck with short term capital gains tax, but the thought of just doubling my money, less the pound of flesh, has its appeal.
Surely there's no way this can last the 6ish months it would take to get to the long term bracket...right?

I have ten shares from July, so I'm basically in OP's position.
But I understand the panic, it had been hovering for the last two months until today. Then apparently reports and some announcement happened. If I sell now, I will have made 400 bucks doing nothing but buying a bit of stock from a company whose name I recognized.
