Heck, I specifically re-evaluated my portfolio a few times in the election cycle specifically to account for possible drops like this, not because I had made poor investment choices previously, but rather because I wanted to have more funds available to reinvest at a temporarily lower rate if this opportunity presented itself. And if it didn't, no real harm done, it just meant I had a bit of increased stability to the underlying value of my account.
