Okay bizzzzzz. I've saved up $15 000, and have no idea how to spend it. I was thinking about maybe buying a car of some sort, but i guess there are better ways to treat your money. although $15k isnt an awful lot, I think it would be a good amount for starting off with. I have little understanding of investments and moneymaking in general besides what I'm paid by the hour at work. How would you spend $15k /biz/?

$3000 car
$2000 in global bonds etf
$8000 in global stocks etf
$1990 in my country's 5-year bonds
$10 worth of chocolates
This is because I already have an emergency fund.
I'd day trade penny stocks in rhg and buy waves

Buy assets not liabilities. If buying a car means getting a better paid job (more that your current job + cost of car ownership) then it is an asset. If you just want a car without it bringing in more income then it is a liability. Divide the 15k into 3 pots of 70% / 20% / 10%. Stick the 70% into cheap index funds and 'forget' about it as it grows. Stick the 20% into shares of big businesses that you're confident will grow over the next couple of years.
The last 10% use to take high risk investments like pennystocks and cryptocurrencies.

a car is a rapidly depreciating asset
it will generally never increase in value
better than a boat though

Not if you understand the definition of an asset.
You're thinking of it as a liability.
