Not OP, but I dunno for sure, anon. Most blacks in my area are afraid of locking their money up anywhere. Best answer I have from experience is that most blacks believe in purchasing property to rent out to others.

Rentals are good, but if you're in the bay area, definitely buy in other states. Prices are way too high in CA right now to make decent rentals.
