It's that time of year. Open Enrollment for many workplaces as well as Obamacare. I just turned 26 and I'm no longer on my parents insurance. I make about 33K with a small company that I may leave this coming year. What does /biz/ recommend?
Employer plan?
Obamacare?
Private Plan?
Just save up?
Also, general Health Insurance thread
Bump?

Just buy health insurance if you think you'll need it
Personally I spent the last three years without it and lied during tax time, saying I had it, to avoid the penalty for not having it. They don't check.

What eill happen and what do I do when I need it but don't have it?
I was thinking of buying the equivalent of collision insurance where they pay the bigger shit like the emergency hospital visit but I pick up the tab for smaller items. Deductibles are so fucking high anyways the only time you'll hit them is if you have a chronic illness or an emergency.
Plus most of the time the Dr will change a lower rate for services rendered if you pay cash.
Ex. An MRI will run you $300-700 cash but if you go through insurance it's like $1200

go to leafland, ask for a citizenship. Healthcare there is free for citizents. Save money. win and if shit goes worst in the usa move to canada.

It's not nearly that fucking important. I'd rather just pay the money than go through that hassle.
