Only doctors making that much are well experienced surgeons and radiologists or living in high cost metro cities where the cost of living offsets. Certain surgeons may require up to 10 years residency besides the 8 years of university.
I have these thoughts a lot. Fundamentally, I just don't respect almost anyone except for STEM researchers and entrepreneurs. But the first leads to little money and the latter is risky.
Medicine is so many years of rigmarole just to treat mainly poor people for self inflicted shit. It's a completely non intellectual job.
They do it for the love and passion of saving others :)
