Some guy was chatting me up at Starbucks last night that works in investments for a hedge fund apparently. He didn't go so far as trying to recruit me but it sure felt like it. He said he uses some trading bot or something using theta on options. Is this another Starbucks scam or is there something to it? I've bumped into ads for stuff like this online and haven't seen much in the way of dismissal like there is with cryptos/mlm/pyramid shit.
Do you guys know anything about this? I'm pretty sceptical and we weren't discussing this on his yacht in the Caribbean so I'm inclined to think it's bullshit.
Bump for knawledge

Recruit you for what?

Some kind of investment thing. Recruit isn't really the right word. I think he wanted me to invest with him

sounds like a scam. if his trading bot is so great, then why doesn't he just invest his own money, or get qualified investors (not ones at starbucks)

That's what I figured.

If he actually had a profitable strategy, he wouldn't need to look for investment capital.
