anyone ever heard of TURO? the app to rent your car and make money when you areent using it?
What if I bought a car for that reason only and made profit? then scaled up?
Thoughts?
BMW 3 Series
$69/Day
Utilization (Days it’s rented out): 90%
Monthly Cost w/Insurance: $400
Profit: $69*30 Days * 90% = $1,863 Revenue – 25% Fee = ~$1,400
Good luck getting your insurance to cover that shit lmao

its an article about a guy who's BMW got stolen. the company paid him, not the shop, he walked away with extra cash too. honestly im kinda sold on the idea. I wan to lease a few 3 series BMW's and give it a shot. I'll have my cars paid off soon so if it doesnt pan out ill be able to cover it.

i think that utilization rate is a little too optimistic. i think 50% is more realistic

i think even 50% is being optimistic.
Who is renting these cars?
Normally car rentals are done by people vacationing, or on business. So car rental places are around airports.
I could see this working in big cities with upscale cars.
I'd think if it takes off car dealers might directly go into it.

I think the 90 is from

But the whole thing sounds like a paid review.

Just fukin lol at doing all this work and dealing with all this bullshit to make less than 500 bucks a month. Not to mention your car will be worthless in one year with the 50k plus miles people put on it, plus crazy high insurance.

And destroy the value of my biggest asset through letting people ruin it?
Fuck no. I don't even let people sit in it if I don't trust them.
>>1570296
how in the world does anyone consider a car an asset?
>>1570296
cars depreciate the minute you leave the lot.

You do know this board has IDs, right?
Either way, it's worth money, it doesn't depreciate much after the initial three years, and I'm saving considerable amounts by driving a newer car compared to an old unreliable piece of shit that breaks down constantly and can't be relied on to get places.

You're funny.
