So I'm interviewing for an analyst position that I'm qualified to do on paper. But in reality I remember nothing from my education.

They asked me if I could do pivot tables and Vlookups. I said yes because I watched some youtube videos on those things, but if you put a dataset in front of me right now I would have no idea what to do with it.

If they offer me the job should I turn it down rather than risk them figuring out my incompetence later on?

Should I try to relearn all of my education from Youtube videos and blogs before the job starts?
>>
Relearn those two things obviously. Then start relearning your notes

It will take you literally half an hour to learn to do everything you will ever need to do with both vlookups and pivot tables.

thanks, that's encouraging.

youll only run into a problem if they're sitting right next to you and watching you work on excel.

if youre working at your own desk independently you can easily just google anything (that's what I did; im pretty good at excel now but lied in the interview saying i had "advanced" excel skills)

i did epically fail an excel test once during an interview. i literally answered 0 questions in 15 minutes lmao. so as long as they dont have one of those you should be okay.

Any tips for how to pull that shit off?

Just googling whatever you need in Excel?
