Congratulations to all who have been listening and buying.

Today was a VERY nice day

THC- it reached the 52 week high today of 0.94. They recently bought a clone shipper to help them ship live plants around the country. Although they dont have a sales liscence yet by the fact that they spent millions on buying the clone shipper means that they have it in the bag. I bought in at 0.32.

APH- Solid day of accumulation. Hit a almost 52 week high of $3.48. This one is STILL on the Canadian ventures market which i dont think will last. They want on the big boy market- the TSX. I bought in at $2.82

Out of left field here comes Affrinor growers. They sell vertical growing beds and are trying to get in on the Mary J market. They have NEITHER a sales nor production license but they could in the future. From last weeks price of 0.05 to todays high of 0.14, this one is definitely one to watch.

CGC- the biggest name on the market, Canopy Growth Corporation hit a 52 week high today of $4.24. Snoop dog endorses it. They have both a sales and a production license so when weed gets legalized they and only a few others will be ready to meet the demand of millions of Canadians and likely drug tourists that flock to Canada

Others to watch in the future:

PUF
OGI
EMH
>>
>tfw still haven't bought any

Is it too late to get in??? What buy
>>
>>1541181
id say either PUF, THC or Affrinor Growers C/AFI

They have the highet potential for greatness as they still have components of being a fully fleshed out grower missing (sales/production license)

if you want steady gains go CGC or APH

Is there any reason to buy U.S.-based marijuana stocks when both presidential candidates seem opposed to drug legalization and the Feds can theoretically seize the banking assets of any weed firms if the bank they store their cash at has locations outside of the states in which it's legalized?
>>
>>1541189
For now id say no. Canada is closer to federal legalization than the United States is.

Too much at play with the US. Too much risk that it could be another 50 years before a real candidate decides to go with a platform of legalizing it. I dont count the useless Green party
>>
>>1541186
What are the chances I lose all my money with any of these stocks?
>>
>>1541115

Isnt AFI teaming up with THC?
>>
Americlap here, can anyone recommend a broker for buying these? Robinmeme only supports US securities.

>>1541193
Libertarians want to legalize it and they'd have a (small) chance this year if Johnson wasn't a fucking idiot.
I think Bernie wanted to legalize it as well, and he would be the nominee if the primary hadn't been rigged.
>>
>>1541197
depends what you want.

APH/CGC- low risk. APH and CGC are making money even now cause they supply medicinal marijuana to Canadaian Patients. APH and CGC are also expanding like crazy.

THC, AFI, PUF, and OGI are the bigger risk/bigger reward players. You playy at your risk. But like i stated in my original post ive made close to 200% gains so far in THC if i were to sell now but im not as the sales license announcement could come ANY DAY now which will increase the share price by atleast 20% id say.
>>
>>1541208
Hmm. Okay.

Might drop a thousand or two in AFI then.

How do I know when to sell? Right when the news of legalization breaks?
>>
>>1541206
Libertarians scuttled their chance EVEN BEFORE they elected Gary johnson with this little gem:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqpAiUpay1A

>>1541204
AFI currently sells THC its vertical marijuana growing beds. But they are trying to get into the market themselves
>>
>>1541206
And also if the electorate consisted of ahigher percentage of millenials. In the near future this will be closer to the reality.
>>
>>1541214

Does AFI get a portion of THC's profits?
>>
>>1541221
no, they profit from selling them the tech but so far they are two separate entities.

maybe int he future they might merge/buyout one another but so far no.

When legalization occurs one or both of two things WILL occur

Number1:

the current Marijuana growers in Canada will start to merge. Its inevitable that 2-3 companies will exist in the end. Its just how it works. They will try and gain a dominance in the market of Marijuana sales. APH says that it wants a MINIMUM of 25% of the field.

In the end i dont see THC holding out, they will be bought out by one of the bigger dogs.

Number 2- the alcohol and tobacco companies have been EYEING up the marijuana market. Especially tobacco as it seems like a natural fit for them to sell cigarettes and blunts. Their profits have been stagnating as of late and if it goes legal to buy bud they could see profits climb exponentially
>>
Do you buy on robinhood or what?
>>
So far this year, I've put $4k into marijuana stocks and made nearly $3k profit. With some of my stocks, like APH, it's an over 100% return.

I'm thinking about putting in $500-1000 every month until April. I don't see anything but gains until then, and when the government unveils its legislation, I expect a few big winners.

I still haven't picked up THC yet, but I might buy some stock next week.

Thanks for the thread man, going to research more tonight.

Quick question OP , what are your price estimations for CGC and APH and how much more do you see it rising before the legalization? Will it keep trending upwards or will it stagnate.

Are CGC/APH trying to create a monopoly, and who will be the dominating factor in the market in >3 years?

Thanks.

Going to go. 35% CGC, 35% 20% THC (hoping for buyout) and 10% PotCoin for lols.

Doesn't Canada not have any real tobacco companies? There's a few small things, but all of the big ones are from elsewhere.

I wouldn't be surprised if the government forces the industry to stay domestically owned, they already do it with banks and telcos

>>1541316

>>
>>1543187
>Quick question OP , what are your price estimations for CGC and APH and how much more do you see it rising before the legalization? Will it keep trending upwards or will it stagnate.

in the last two months APH's for example official price target has continually been upgraded.

>its going to reach $2 by the end of the year
>its going to reach $3 by the end of the year
>yada yada blah blah

the current average is 7$ a share before legalization.

Hell id like to see it but my estimate is lower- $5 for APH, and $6 for CGC

When legalization goes through the bar is dropped. They could easily reach $10 a share, $20 a share. One analyst who i think was out to luch said $50 a share.

If they all combined into one mega weed company with multiple locations across Canada, ya sure $50 a share seems reasonable as even Health Canada has stated that recreational weed could bring in figurse of 5-10 Billion a year.

It would be EXTREMELY smart for Canada to legalize it and tax it. Extra evenue for a drug that is benign as alcohol or tabacco. In fact less so. How many cases do you hear in the news of a weed smoker plowing into a family with a car; or likewise giving them lung cancer.

the smaller stocks are on the venture exchange, not the TSX. you need to see if your broker has access to the Canadian Venture exchange

Same thing happened when i tried to buy stock that was only on the ASX and the OTC. it wouldnt let me cause my broker doesnt buy/sell on those. Unless i specifically call it in and talk to a person for 30 minutes about how i understand the risks and by that time the stock had already mooned

Save up, go for some silver or gold next. With all the price fixing going on and the claims against ScotiaBank (dismissed for now) and Deutsche banks recent...downfall.

You can watch the markets with a keen eye and bank a few ks with enough capitol behind your swing.

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/?symbol=TVC:GOLD

10 year downtrend? That is a bit of a stretch IMO. A nice profit for the refineries on an oz of gold is about $100 an oz. Of course more is better. You will notice gold hasn't dropped below $1000 an oz for quite some time, since about 2010.

Gold is also a commodoty people will buy when they are worried. People with lots of money quite opposite to what most would think are in fact not idiotic. They understand having liquid assets is not only smart but completely necessary. We live in trying times, gold will not drop below that mark for quite some time, pending a few global circumstances. IMO

While you can make plenty shorting anything with a keen eye and proper momentum behind your swings. Shorting on things like gold or silver are not safe investments. High risk can mean high reward but look at the outcome of the trade you mentioned.

On the flip side it would have revitalized your investment strategies and awarded you a nice paycheck to play around with.

Sold AGS at .35, would have loved to have sold in the .40s, I should have listened to my old man warning me not to be greedy.

What happened? All MJ stocks sank in unison, did that faggot motherfucker trudeau chicken out on his stance on legalization or something?
>>
>>1548294
hence why im still in the stock market

i didnt let one bad loss deter me. And now i have more than i lost.

Even with todays losses i still made a little bit more than i lost with THC. Hence again why i put it first and foremost in my OP post.

They have TOO MUCH good stuff coming down the line.

Whilst APH suffered at the pullback today they too have good things coming down the line. In the next week oe two they have financial reports coming out- if they are good it will go up. Like Aurora cannbis - ACB they are looking to get in on the TSX as well. Theres the taskforce coming in november and the big whopper legalization down the road.

Everyone has to take a few licks, hell ask warren buffet if he ever took a loss .

You morons just don't get it, it wasn't just 1 stock, it was 90% of the MJ stocks that got hit at the exact same time, right before closing.

>>
>>1548339

i dunno. Every Mary J stock was climbing like a mother fucker for the last two weeks. A pullback was expected. And not every mary j was effected. Auroa cannibis is still up. So is THC. CGC is down like half of a one percent

i see this market doing great things. A new emerging market. Those who move on dont see the potential. They see a short term trading position.

New markets are risky ones. I can understand the hesitation to enter. For the people who have lost on a tiny pullback and think it's the end, I doubt they have what it takes to enter most markets let alone something as young as the medicinal marijuana sector.

The grey area of it all. That is what turns me off as an investor. The feds can shut it all down in the snap of a finger. Wouldn't want too much money held up in anything so shaky. You have the right idea and you clearly seem to know what you have gotten yourself into.

i heard in my circles that it was big players trying to weed out little investors. Has happened in alcohol and Tobacco companies before. Insiders can grab more stock for cheap before it going back up.

no this is not the end. If trudeau had said that he wasnt legalizing it half these stocks wouldnt exist anymore cause they all came out of the woodworks trying to claim a bit of that legalization pie.
>>
>>1548714

But every MJ company at the same time??

I don't think that's it.

This is what I was saying. Every company at the same time signals us that the big boys (who always know things ahead of us) pulled out. They know something we don't.

I'm still going to hold on to my APH and CGC shares since they actually have licenses and are unlikely to fold unless Trudeau was pump faking the legalization.

Gonna back out of AFI and PharmaCan though if they go down any further
>>
>>1541779
Typically companies are "bought out" at a premium. Sometimes, it's just a nice 15-30% for small predictable companies that are going out of business. In the case of Pharma, Biotech, Junior oil companies that have a high worth to be realized over time, buyouts can be in huge multiples of 50-100x after a big run up.
>>
>>1544344
There's only a few companies that are Large Producers, which are sanctioned by Health Canada Licenses. All the other small companies sell smoking devices, hemp drinks, or they are just a greenhouse waiting for a license that they might not get.

The good companies that are supplying medical marijuana now, and will (hopefully, this is where all the money will be made) grow the legal recreational marijuana are summed up by
CGC(canopy), ACB (aurora), MT(mettrum), MJN (pharmacan), APH(aphria),OGI(organigram), and possibly (?) SL(supreme).
These are the companies you want for now.
>>
>>1547686
Google "canadian marijuana index" first link, itll take you to a site that has a chart that you can sort by price etc. and the new press releases.
>>
>>1549389
AGS is decent as it was rated number one in cannabis cup for their lights and shit
>>
>>1549402
My stocks are just the ones that actually produce marijuana. I dont know about grow systems, I know these grow factories have in house electricians with inventory of LED ballasts anyway. Invest in the weed itself. The lightballast might be 1000$, but it can grow $10,000 worth of weed. Your company could be alright, but it's indirect and not my style.

Yo everyone, hate to sound like a pumper, but get it while it's hot: AFI. It supplies vertical growth tech for THC, will be signing with others. It has permits in the works waiting to be approved to build more vertical growth apparatuses, and hell, they even applied for a license to grow marijuana (even though they will be growing through THC and don't need it). In the next month and a half they will get the permits, and get the results from their first marijuana crop with THC (which will be the most crop per square foot). This will have the other producers begging to buy their equipment (of which they get a percentage of the crop profit for eternity). Anyway, it's the last one to be this cheap (it's 0.10 right now, where THC was a year ago), and it has been up to 1.00 before during the 2014 bubble. Things didn't work out then, but they have learned and are prepared for it this time. Good luck to all. I'm heavily invested in them since they seem like a great company, so I'll be holding out until next fall to sell (if I even do).
