Anyone here has experience in buying stuff from Alibaba?

I'm planning on buying something from Alibaba, but I don't really know how this shit works.
What I am going to buy costs a couple of hundred dollars, but I found a supplier that has a minimum order of 1 (I think), so that I can purchase one or maybe two and try and resell them.
Since it is a couple of hundred bucks pr. item, I can't use most of the suppliers, which require a minimum order of 10-100.

Then there is the shipping cost as well.

Has anyone had success on buying from alibaba and reselling?
Is it a hassle?
