>transfer majority of paycheck after bills into savings
>have no money to spend
At first this was hard, but now I'm addicted to saving money. I've gotten really good at not spending on anything except essentials.
Who else /obsessiveSaver/ here?

Try Professional mode:
max 401k
Withhold all taxes, insurance from pay before it hits your account.
Transfer 2/3 of remaining value to various savings/depository accounts.
Allow remaining 23% to hit checking account.
Live off of checking acct. Transfer IRS limit to Roth IRA once a year.
All you really need to pay for is affordable on a minimum wage budget. If you can't afford it there, you probably don't need it right now, or you are supporting multiple people.

>tfw No place for general savings since money markets cap around 1%, and even 5-year jumbo CDs are only sitting around 2%. God damnit, I want somewhere to put my money, but the market is too rich right now to want to throw in non-Roth non-401k money.
My emergency fund just sits there earning a paltry $50 in interest a month. ;_;

I'm at about $7,000. It's in a high yield checking account. It may not seem much to some, but, to me, there is no greater source of security.

What sort of emergency fund is so large that it collects $50 a month in a virtual ZIRP environment?
I think your emergency fund is too large.

Ive saved compulsively ever since Ive moved out of my parents house. Out of college now with a nice paying job, and Ive never come close to experiencing anything that could be called "money problems."
Even in college when most of my friends were eating ramen by the end of semester, I had no problem going out to eat now and then, and I generally held a $0 net worth despite going into debt for school.
