How do you endure a financial crisis?

So, my country's economy is hanging from a single thread. It still doesn't fucking fall apart, but everything suggests it will fucking happen next year and it will be almost on par with the Great Depression. I was about to escape the country last year through a scholarship in Europe, but someone totaled my car and I had to enslave myself on a loan for a new car for two years. As a result, I can't get out of the country until I finish paying off my car, and everything suggests I'll barely manage to finish doing so by the time the economic crisis goes into full effect.

I'm an UNIX sysadmin, I live with my upper-middle class parents and make a middle-class salary for myself. My estate includes my car, a gaming PC I recently bought, and enough gold coins to make one monthly payment of my car. The job market for IT specialists in my city has always been very favorable (I got my current job at a megacorp like one single month after graduating) but I'm afraid my job security might be compromised during the crisis.

What can I do to endure the incoming economic disaster?
