Today I was told that tomorrow will be my last day.
I work at a start small fund that has been paying me obscene money , but due to personal circumstances which led to lack of contact hours ,I'm being asked to step down.
Personal circumstances involve being subpoenaed to give evidence on an old friend ( known for 20 years whom I have now cut off) who has over 20 counts of sexual assault and a few rape charges put against him . They are true... And unfortunately he had bragged about a few of these times to me ...
He is aware of the situation he has put me in , has no remorse which is expected since he has little to none for his victims .
Anyone else lost something amazing for uncontrollable reasons ?

Contact an employment lawyer. Most broadly speaking, employers can't retaliate against you for obeying a subpoena. Depends on your locale, but still.
