Fell for STEM meme and looking into other options.
I want to learn more about economics/finance/accounting etc. because I think I could enjoy it, and I think the same autism that got my a STEM degree might mean I could do well in those fields.
I started watching Khan Academy videos. What other resources are there (books, online video series, free courses)? You're sticky doesn't have shit.
i havent read any books but i got my trading acumen from /biz/

All you need to become good at economics stuff

Currently taking a course in micro and took macro over the summer.
For macro, we used Greg Mankiw's Principles of Macroeconomics (9th Edition), which i Couldn't find an exact PDF for (with the right edition), but I recall finding old ones when I was looking for one at the time. Solid textbook
I'd also recommend Thomas Sowell's Basic Economics, very good IMO. It's pretty right wing as far as economics goes and I haven't personally read it, but I've read other Sowell and it's pretty good.
Elaborate on the STEM meme? My parents told me i should double major STEM-Econ but I'm more interested in Econ.

He sucks at it and calls it a meme because of that.
>>1501766
Pretty much.
Well, it's more that the specific STEM degree I took was a meme. Very useless degree to have -- it wasn't engineering or math.
>>1501771
>it wasn't engineering or math.
...so what was it?
why is everyone so fucking cryptic on this board?
"I want advice but I can't tell you anything about my situation"

Going to guess bio or chem.
>>1501835
Useless stem degrees are ones like bio, ecology, enviro-sci, chemistry, biochem, etc.
What more do you need to know?

Khan a shit
he doesn't into money at all
There is one pajeet on itunesU with a course called investment philosophies. if you want to get all analysis paralysis.
Shillers financial markets course is good for structure. also itunesU
Game theory is also fascinating.
You're gonna want a corporate finance course, a statistics course, and an accounting course.
They're all pretty much the same you get out what you put in.
Creativelive also has some decent courses on business and accounting that are more practical for operations.
Frankly though stop fucking around. Figure out what you want to do. you only get one shot at life. Meet interesting people in interesting fields and find a specific job title you want to have.
Stem isn't a meme, your lack of relevant experience during college is the meme
I majored in math, was fortunate enough to land a relevant internship, and had no problem finding a job after school
