so my grandma is going to pay for my college education but it has to be at a university and not a community college because she doesn't believe in the quality of them. the problem is that my scores are extremely average. should i just go to any old shitty as school? the ones i can get into don't even have engineering for fucks sake.

I'm in Pennsylvaia, USA, one of the shittiest, most expensive in state costs for college in the country. it would cost me $30,000 per year to go to Penn State as an in-state student, lmao.

From what I've looked into, unless I literally get practically a perfect SAT score, it doesn't do shit for admissions and they don't really consider it to nullify an average GPA.

Tell granny the truth.
That the only way for you to get into a decent school at this point is to go to community college for a semester or two then transfer out.
That way your admission will be based on your college GPA for that semester vs your HS GPA.
Best part is CC is piss easy. It may as well be 13th grade.
If you still fuck it up then you know that you weren't meant for engineering anyway and can save granny her life savings.
