How do you work on a project without being demotivated/convincing myself to work on something """better"""?

Imagine you're midway any project but you've been daydreaming all week about this cool new idea you think you can make work, so you drop what you were doing to start this new thing. Now repeat. Forever.
That's me. It's fucking retarded, but I can't stop doing it.

try to select the best idea from your bucket list and work on that

Even if that idea can take me up to a year to finish, while I can be doing smaller ones first that could start giving me some income?

Multi-tasking lowers productivity. Doesn't stop bosses from demanding it though. Instead of doing one thing well, you do a lot of things half-assed.
