I think next week will be a good time to buy, right when everything starts going up again. Also AMD is not a good long term investment. Read their form 10k. I'm up about 100% over the last year for NVDA and I think it is going to keep going up. Visual computing (self driving cars, etc.) is blowing up and they are setting up to be the industry leader.
