>have a bunch of shit listed on Craigslist
>receive email: "is it still available?"
>reply within five minutes: "yes, it is. Would you like to come see it?"
>never hear from them again
This has happened to me probably a dozen times over the past few days. Is there some kind of psychological reason why people will ask if something in craigs is still available but never follow up? What the fuck is wrong with people?

Lazy unmotivated sellers and buyers.
don't even try and apply logic to craigslist inquiries. it's sort of like window shopping for them.
i ignore like half of them.

I have the same issue lol
I got ton of that crap when i sold a bike. Ignore all that shit only reply to people who want to see the item and setup a meet time.

This. Just put in the ad that if it's still up it's till available.

I can't tell you how many times this happened to me when I was moving out of my apartment about 5 years ago. "Hey sweet couch, is it still available? I love the price" "Sure is buddy, I just need to get rid of it!" and then nothing. I ended up donating the couch to goodwill because nobody bought it. It was a $2,000 barely used sofa I was selling for $250. Nobody even came to look at it.

Ignore them, if they really want it they will message you twice.

I get this shit ALL THE TIME when I post to m4m or m4mm. CL is full of flakes. I think a lot of them are bots trying to collect e-mail addresses.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention OP, it is indeed spooky.
