Did my undergrad in economics. It was pretty fun and I learned a lot. I don't plan on going into the area for work, though.
If you're good at math, you could easily do economics.
If you're one of those "education for vocation" people and just want to get paid, an economics degree is fine, but you might want to look into math (and into getting graduate and post-graduate degrees). Engineering, too, seems to pay well. But I'd recommend that you study something you're truly and genuinely interested in.
