Independent contractor, I do everything Jack of all Trades style, and invest my extra cash. I'm worth about 1.2m at this point.
Pick my own hours, am my own boss, and I can charge whatever the fuck I want.
Literally Über-God tier.

I don't know the tier names very well, but I'm pretty content with where I project myself to be.
Also, I don't live in the USA, so you needn't tell me that the market's oversaturated or that I need to go to a top school if I want any hope of employment.

Opening a hobby or investment shop would work.
online would be cheapest.
shop bourses, sell retail.
low profit margins and tons of competition tho.

I'd much rather work for a company and assume less risk. Is it even possible to make money in this? I just don't want to be a wagecuck
>>1484702
I'm pretty sure it's possible to make money, companies have been doing it for decades.
I don't see it as much risk, you spread your risk out over lots of transactions. And aside from bullion prices, the product doesn't really ever go down in value. I guess it's possible everyone could just wake up and decide it's worthless one day, but that hasn't happened yet.

>current employment : derivatives trader at a prop firm for the last 5 years

i enjoy the work and im pretty good at it, so i make a good amount of money. it can get a bit too stressful at times and sometimes i get the nagging feeling that im wasting my life looking at a bunch of numbers changing all day. overall its great though, cant think of a job i could realistically get that i would rather have.
