>Inflation .8% YoY
>GDP 1.1% YoY
>Profits down 5% YoY
>Fed promised 4 hikes in 2016
And some idiots seriously think they are raising in September.
Schiff was right.

The shill?

December may be on the table, but I doubt it.

Can anyone explain why people have been saying the fed will raise rates for the last 8 months?
I cant seem to find an argument for them to do so that isnt " we need wiggle room for the next crash" or "we need to take the pain now so we dont lose out on future potential growth" which i see as almost identical arguments.
What stops the fed from keeping near zero rates forever?
Cant we just go negative in the event of another crash?
There's no way they can raise it anytime soon
But It has it's benefits
Just got a 15/yr fixed mortgage @ 2.5% APR. Mortgage officer said it's the lowest he's seen in 40+ years in the business.
We great depression now

I'm getting rolled by not having my money in market, but I'm afraid the market is going to crash. Where should I put my moneys?

Crypto.

Divide your money into several equal pieces(Do not dollar cost average!), invest in several periods, eg a year, and stop worrying.

Time in the market beats any sort of timing or dollar cost averaging you can do.
they are absolutely going to raise rates

>Can anyone explain why people have been saying the fed will raise rates for the last 8 months?
70-80's economists in the Fed.
Wanting to hurt China + Russia + commodity producers by creating depreciation pressure and volatility.
If they had just raised like they said they would in 2013-2016, these countries would be far better off. But the uncertainty scares away all investment and holds commodity prices down. Good for American geopolitics.
>What stops the fed from keeping near zero rates forever?
the neutral equilibrium rate of monetary policy.
>Cant we just go negative in the event of another crash?
Yes. We did by doing QE and Twist the last 8 years.

Yes. In December. Not September.
