Hello /biz/.
I've been HEAVILY intrested in economics, (specially macroeconomics), for the last 3 years, it has become a hobby to inform myself on how the economy works, I've started reading finantial newspapers, economic related media, even reading academic books, sadly I'm already studying engineering and I feel it's too late to switch my career, but in my free time I'm always reading or trying to study economic related topics.
In the finances field, I know what, in theory, bonds, stocks, etc. are, but I don't get to understand how market transactions are made, how does people buy stocks or bonds, I mean I know you can do it in websites, but in which terms, how are the interest rates applied, what are the options to deliverate when buying or selling, what's the difference in buying short term or long term, what are penny stocks, etc.
I know I'm not being very specific, but could you atleast give me an advice on were to inform myself on investment? (for free)
My income barely lets me pay the bills and feed me, so I'm not asking advice to start investing, it's just curiosity and entertainment.
>tl;dr : give me an advice on were to inform myself on investment. (for free).
