Newfag here. What methods do you use to evaluate if a stock is worth investing in or not?

you wont know from just a2 month look. what you need to do is look at the history of the company, find out the direction they're going in, and determine any cyclic activity.

right. So what are pertinent things to look for? Aside from basic things like debt vs cash on hand, statements of financial position, annual and quarterly reports, what else is there?
Also, do you implement some sort of strategy on a more macro scale, like sector rotation? or do you just look at the direction & history of a company and go from there?
