Is this real? Can't anyone learn Excell in a day? Is it actually a marketable skill?

You'd be surprised, some people think pivot tables are magic.

sorry it's impossible to learn
if you aren't using all hot keys and have to use your mouse your not going to make it

Pivot tables indeed.
>hiring manager says You have 15 minutes to complete proforma analysis, 3 merger options * 3 financing options = 9 total scenarios with 3, 5, and 7 year NPVs. Assume Rf 3%, everything else is either in the prospectus provided or was in our 10k filed last month.
>oh and one more thing..
>disconnects the mouse from every PC and walks to the door
>14 minutes

Depends on how advanced the test is I guess. I'd imagine the test is pretty simple and they just want to make sure you have a basic/intermediate knowledge.
>absolute references
>conditional formatting
>if functions
>pivot tables
>VLOOKUP
>HLOOKUP
>maybe how to graph some shit
>get familiar with formatting tools
>maybe how to record a basic macro
I doubt they'll ask you to do any VBA shit but who knows.
