I think Eth is a good buy.
ETC will die eventually when the trolls get bored and the 'development team' turns out to just not be bothered updating anything.
But Eth still has a lot of big apps being developed for it with teams working on them right now. Things like Gnosis are likely to be pretty big.
I mean you always wake up one morning and check the crypto prices to see something has shot up by like 30% overnight, and then you fantasise about having bought it in that long flat quiet period before the exponential pop.
Eth I believe is going through such a long quiet period before such an exponential pop. Unlike other shitcoins (say DOGE or LISK that have faded out of 'popularity')... Eth still has the big fireworks (actual functional apps) still ahead of it.
IF they can pull that off then yeah, Eth $100 by next year this time.
If another few "DAO" style events occur then it might collapse entirely as people realise humans just can't write perfect code and thus immutability is impractical and useless.
ETC I think is going to be dead in the water one way or another.
Gnosis and Augur, the next 2 "big things" for ETH are glorified gambling sites.
Expect more dissapointment, since online gambling already fucking exists and is ran by million and billion dollar conglomerates.
Now if there are no fees, there is no upside for developers/owners, and if there are fees, ill just go to an established gambling site which invested millions in infrastructure already.
Buy monero.

Damn, a shaky ETH bagholder if I ever saw one.
If Ethereum survives it will be ETC, or it will be not.
I'm going to come right out and say that I have a small ETH mining rig. I never purchased any, but have been mining for close to 2 months now.
That being said: There is a lot of uncertainty when it comes to ETH. It has had a shaky past. But if you look at the hashrate there are more and more people building mining rigs everyday, so people still believe in it.
If you are someone who is looking to get in on ETH, I would wait to see what happens at Devcon2 in September(which is being held in China). If good news comes in the form of more developers, a legitimate real world use, or adoption by chinese market, I think ETH could go back up to $20.
We'll just have to wait and see
classic is on the rise! anyone watching it?
