The hard fork was a huge mistake ,not just because it created 2 competing chains but because it destroyed the entire concept of ethereum ,on top of that the ethereum foundation are crooks ,they stole millions of dao funds and attempted to sell them on poloniex then when the funds got frozen they just came up with some bullshit excuse like oops we made a mistake but it won't happen again.

How is it shitposting ? Everything I just said is true ,There's nothing holding ethereum up anymore ,at least with ETC you can ride the pump before they both crash and burn.

Long run? hard to tell with the law of Accelerating change, bitcoin's halving, etc.

ETH picked up where BTC was a slowpoke, grew out of the dismay of the hardfork and general distrust of the ethfoundation, vitalik etc. for better or worse? who knows, ETC made a point but it's future is uncertain and generally obscure.

then there's Expanse, which is a fork of Ethereum, but runs on it's own chain, not sure what the benefits are, other than developers, blocktime and reward, but allegedly there's like a hidden pre-mine stash of tens of millions of EXP that the devs have so the coin is hugely overvalued.

then there's Shift, a quaint ETH fork, pretty active community and transparent, it's not meant to compete with ETH or their roadmap but definitely worth reading into for a long, and keeping an ear to the ground, also, there's no pre-mine like the other coins, no hidden 80million coins.

it'll be in the 20 to 26 range by next years. lowest 18.
