/biz/ in a nutshell. Literally too stupid to ever make money, yet obsessed with it nonetheless.

but why isn't there an app for shorting? there is an app for everything. how do ordinary blokes short things? i want to start shorting.
Find a broker, build a margin acct. Sell short an inverse leveraged ETF. Or you can fuck around with FOREX binary options. Either way, you'll go broke. I highly suggest picking up a book or two. The Finance world is built on it's ability to outsmart you. It takes a special kind of smart to enter that world and generate returns.

Why don't you just buy a stock if you think it's gonna go up?
That's some Inception level trading right there. Perhaps we should all short the shorter who is wearing shorts.

This is what i don't understand about trading. It's basically gambling except gambling is easier and has higher returns. Why not just gamble?
Go for...
The Big Short

Because it doesn't matter how smart you are when you're gambling at a casino, the odds are always against you by 51% or higher. You will always lose long-term.
If you're smart with your money in the markets the odds are with you. You will always gain long-term.

... you buy. or, you can sell puts

>commission free hopefully.
So you want to short, which by definition requires you to borrow money.
And you want it for free.
I see no reason this plan won't work.
