Robin Hood general is your containment thread. If you were too retarded to put that together, maybe this board isn't for you.
Long, BA, NFLX, and AMZN. They'll all do well over the next year. Boeing has years worth of work in the pipeline and has great dividends. Amazon is bullish as fuck - they've risen consistently since they became mainstream, and they're only getting stronger. Netflix is undervalued, and dropped because of an overreaction to a mostly good earnings report - they'll be back at 120 in a few months.
Honourable mention for longs - CAT. Caterpillar is a great company that experienced setbacks due to the US mining industry collapse, but have growing markets in China and the rest of Asia.
Short? Gold stocks did well today, so you're late. Overall advice - be bearish. Buy bluechips that are plummeting because of media, earnings reports, or other bad hype. Nine times out of ten, they'll rebound a percent or two. To buy low and sell high, you must buy LOW. Buy when things look bad - the market overreacts. It'll pull back like a stretched-out rubber bad... not back to where it was, but still closer.
If I can get one percent a week, I know I'm winning, but your mileage may vary.
