What do people think of resumes/cv with graphic design? Obviously too much is too much but what about non-standard layouts?
"Standard" being one column, top to bottom. popular layout nowadays is three columns, first one on the left having your name, then the second and third having the same info.
This is for graphic design related jobs, or at least where having graphic design helps. obviously, those graphs and bar charts are stupid and don't communicate anything, we're talking about the word format.
"Heh, this guy is either a douchebag, a 'i-want-to-impress-the-hiring-manager-so-i-will-use-gaudy-graphics-and-designs-that-are-suposed-to-show-how-creative-i-am' person, someone that is not socially aware, immature or just a weak candidate."
I would bin it. I probably wouldn't even read it.

okay, resume thread. post resumes you think are good in terms of design.

3 colums is tricky to pull off and depends on where you want to apply.
if work involves any graphical design go ahead, but I would avoid it otherwise.
