has anyone on /biz/ started a company and had to open a bank account in another country than their home country?
i'd like to open a business bank account in Hong Kong for my company for various reasons, as opposed to the UK.
I have read many outdated blogs but would appreciate some stories & guidance if anyone has some to offer. I won't be resident in HK, but will open new limited liability corporation there.

Don't open an account in the Netherlands, that's for sure. Compliance regulations is killing business.
I'm an American citizen so all foreign banks tell me to fuck off because of FATCA. Feels bad, man.
