Is it a faux pas to wear kakhis with a suit jacket to an interview ?
Is the interview on a boat?
If you add a pair of knee pads I'm sure they can work with you.

Its fine for non-executive positions, and as long as you're under the age of 22 or so. After that, you really should have at least one decent suit.

???
Why? Obviously just wear a suit, they are like 200 bucks

Never, EVER wear khakis to an interview. Dress pants can be had for $20 retail. Don't be a retard.

It's alright if you don't want the job, or you're applying at a place without a dress code. If it's a manual labor job, it's 100% fine. The general rule of thumb is one "level" of dress above what's expected. If you're going to be a prostitute, tshirt and jeans is ok. Anything above, khakis and a polo. If that's the regular code, slacks and a dress shirt, with tie. If that's daily wear, suit.
For fuck's sake. Khakis are acceptable (with polos and not dress shirts because that looks nerdy as fuck) on hard dress-down days, after you get the job. At best. Unless you work at fucking McDonalds.

I wore basketball shorts and a blank white t-shirt to an interview for a 150k job. No one gave a fuck.

I seriously doubt you need to falseflag on /biz/ to cut down your competition in retail.
