Im probably too retarded to tell if this is bait, but being an MD isn't as lucrative or prestigious as you think it is. You will be in huge debt and chances are MD won't be getting paid as well as they used to anymore because of Obamacare. Just go into Nursing or specialize into a demanding medical job. I don't know about you guys but all the Nursing programs are special priced to be cheaper than everything else because of the demand of them.

Somebody had an infographic on here for an MD's worth being comparable to that of a school teacher, I don't know how true it is, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm interested in too much to make the decision without extensive research into it all, so I feel like I was sort of put on the spot. My girlfriend assures me that I won't REALLY need to declare a major until I'm finished with my second year anyway and that I should just stop freaking out and do my research and plan accordingly. Regardless, if I stay on my current path I will be a registered nurse in two years, then I can declare a major and still have a pretty decent fall back plan.

Ask yourself how much you want to be a Nurse as well. Hospital work sometimes can be really brutal, shitty, and unfair. A lot of the Nursing people I know could get fired for calling off on a holiday. Hospitals have strict staffing and schedules. At one point I wanted to deeply enter Biochemistry/Chemistry, realized the only way I could make money from it is being a medical lab tech, which means working in a hospital, it wasn't for me. I went with Plan B and studied Accounting and MIS.

Yeah, I've heard plenty of bad about it too. If I get to the point where I'm doing clinicals and it's absolute shit I'll change it for sure. I guess it won't really matter as long as I don't plan to pursue more education in the health care field after receiving my Associates. For now I'll just consider this me working toward my transfer with the added bonus of being an RN when I finish. I guess I have around 2 years to figure out what I really want to do. Any suggestions? I'm interested in Psychology, Technology, Art (lel), Law....

I figure law is probably my best bet as far as a major, but idk what I'd do with a Law Degree beings the market for lawyers at this point seems over saturated.

I'll take any suggestions into account at this point. I really just want to have a good plan to follow.

Yeah I live in an area with an extremely low cost of living, so as a nurse I'd probably have plenty of money to live comfy and have just about whatever I want in life within reason.
