Personally i think buying a home is a giant rip off unless you live in a low market area. You're better off just buying a condo if you want a shit ton of money in your pocket.

You can't say you'd rather buy a home than a condo. If OP was talking about a house, it would be another story (as house buying vs condo buying is a valid debate).
