Fundamental analysis or technical analysis?

Jim cramer says Both.

Adaptive market hypothesis incorporates both and has the best scores in market prediction. SO both, but personally I rely more on the fundamentals for investing.

Both. Technical for entries and exits, fundamental for your crystal ball.

It would depend of the eye of the beholder. If your personality says that fundamental analysis is your thing, you should do that. If technical analysis is your thing, you should do that.
I'm trying out both with different setups, yet I haven't found out what kind of trader I am. I'm leaning more on technical analysis though. I mostly like trend following and band trading.

Rich people, academics, and researchers say neither.
Poor fags choose a different option.

So what do rich fags use then?
>>1407331
depends on the time frame
for some systematic trend following CTA neither... just quantitative analysis of historic data
for some HFT market making firm then mostly order book dynamics... however beyond that there can be differences depending on who is babysitting the algo. Some are almost completely monitored with the most junior guy on the team as the 'trader' or rather trade monitor as the algo isn't just covering execution but also managing inventory risk, taking the overall view etc.. whereas in other shops it can be more of a grey box and the 'trader' still has real input
Sentimental

They use dividends anon. They don't trade. They invest.
Technical is for short-term. You can't predict 4-5 year time scales with technical analysis except in retrospect. Long-term always fundamental. If you're swing / day-trading it'll be largely technical, but news / fundamentals are big trendsetters (obviously).
fundamentals are shit now with central banks "never-crash" policies. technicals are in
