You have to be careful when it crashes and you can't sell, but it's commission free.
I lost most of the money I put up the first time, but I don't think it crashes that often.

Because it's free and for poor people who don't have larger sums of capital to invest. You also can't trade options. Keep in mind, they use Apex to clear your trades since Robinhood isn't actually a broker, just a trading interface.
