Hey /biz/,

I am looking for a good macroeconomics book, my background is maths.

The /sci/ wiki has listed:

>Macroeconomics by Mankiw
>Advanced Macroeconomics by Romer

Which is better?

If you're taking a course, don't fucking bother buying the book. Haven't bought a book all through summer semesters and I still got straight A's.

If it's just to read, you can find most of what's in both of those books for free online

I'd also recommend Samuelson & Nordhaus Economics.

But if you're just barely learning macro, go with mankiw. Advanced should be after you get the basics down.

Naked Economics is a real easy read so go for that

Wow, really? Many topics have different books titled "X" and "advanced X", yet the same scope and depth.

Are you sure Romer is more advanced than Mankiw?
>>
>>1406210
Mankiw's is a no brainer.Trust me
>>

I have read neither, so I can't tell you specifically. But when I took advanced macro, we usually went through the basics quickly.

I'm presuming the textbook content is the same.
>>
Mankiw is great for course-level coverage, but he's pretty general in scope
