I am thinking of dropping ~10K on solar panels. Is it worth it? How much can you make from selling power back to the grid?

Also, my parents do it. They spent about half of that. Here in Denmark they just sue it to power their own house which given our energy price became worth it after 5 years.

"Hey Mr.Electrical company, let me sell you my power."
"we generate our own power."
"Hey Mr.random citizen let me sell you some power"
"Our electricity is already provided by Mr.Electrical company, it was an agreement we signed into when we rented this apartment."

Most countries, no, not at all.

Here in the US, utility companies are obligated to buy power from you.

No, they give you the bulk price.

Long term investments are the best investments. That time is going to pass anyway, and it saves time compared to researching and investing in 10 different things over a decade. As long as the ROI is at the growth you want.
