The popular music industry starts losing huge chunks of money overnight due to piracy, so those wealthy executives fund ad-based "free" streaming services and focus on pushing CDs and merch to the only demographic with some money that still hasn't figured out how to use a computer.
Then combine that with a heaping of the internalized and highly marketable "blacks are rebels" mindset which those same companies have forced into the unaware public subconscious for over forty years now and black young millionaire hip-hop musicians are the logical conclusion.
