Are any /biz/nessmen in sales?
How are you doing? Was it tough starting out? Was/is it commission only? How do you like it?
I've been told that no profession pays as much as sales, that literally the sky is the limit (unless commission cap).
I'm well educated, have a nice smile, and can talk to people easily but I would not define myself as a "closer." Also, I'm not a shark, so to speak, looking for blood. Is the profession still viable for me?
Finally, what industries are recommended? I'm in the western united states, so I'd like to get into solar sales if at all possible, but Solar City is not hiring in my area just yet.

If you can't close in sales you can't live.
...1: ask their problem. 2 Hammer the problem, 3 offer the solution...

Internet marketing is really great. I do pretty well, around 10k a month. You can sell SEO, lead generation, web design, reputation management, etc all for around 1k a month to any small or mid size business.
I sell 50 leads to plumbers or other service industry professionals for 899 and I can target every plumber in my city. Only need 10 to hit 5 figures a month.
In sales at the minute, whats the best way to get into contact with people that own multiple business', leaving brochures and shit with people in one of their business' never works because i assume they get a lot of that sort of shit already.
