OP, assuming your work is actually good, your best bet is to pull together a ballin portfolio and move somewhere nicer. You aren't going to get work in your country and people online think a high-quality, professional animation is worth $1000 and a tootsie roll. I've been doing professional design since I got out of college and the only way to make good money in this industry is corporate clients. For example, my company does quite a bit of B2B videos for a major wireless carrier in the US. We make short video animations (3 - 4 minutes each) for them that highlight new products they are selling to other businesses and get paid roughly $15K for each one. They only take about 3 days or so each to make and we pump out of a fuck ton of them (we've done 7 of them so far this year and that's only one client). Plus it's only me and 2 other people so we don't have tons of expenses to worry about.

Bottom line: Ballin portfolio, move, find work for a existing firm that pays well or start your own and undercut the market. Even undercutting, you can make good money if you know what you are doing.
